How to apply
- Cotton & poly-cotton 155–160°C · 12–15 sec
- Polyester, nylon & stretch 130–135°C · 8–10 sec
- Pressure Firm and even
- Finishing press 5–8 sec, covered
Step by step
- Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and creases.
- Position the transfer printed side down on the fabric, so the design reads the right way round through the film.
- Press using the settings above for your fabric.
- Let it cool, then peel (cold peel): wait until the transfer is completely cool to the touch, about 30–60 seconds. Then peel the film slowly from one corner, keeping it low and close to the fabric. If any part starts to lift, lay the film back down, press for 5 more seconds and let it cool again before peeling.
- Finish the print: cover it with a Teflon sheet or baking paper and press again for 5–8 seconds. This seals the edges and helps the print last.
Tips for the best result
- Keep seams, zips and pockets out from under the press so the pressure stays even.
- Wait 24 hours before the first wash, then wash inside out at up to 40°C.
- Never iron directly on the print.
Every heat press is a little different, so a quick first press helps you dial in the settings for yours.
